History: Powell & Sons Equipment has been in business for over 25 years and has successfully performed a diverse range of assignments. We have accomplished numerous lifting and rigging jobs for all of the major contractors in the Georgia and throughout the southeast. We have experienced crews in all fields of rigging.

Insurance: We maintain complete comprehensive General Liability policies in addition to riggers On-Hook, Auto, Workers' Comp and a significant umbrella policy. A copy of our policy certificate is available upon request. We are fully insured for each of the states we work in and copies of the state-required insurance are available.

Safety: Safety is the most important aspect of our work. Powell & Sons Equipment has a full time Safety Officer as well as an Active Safety Process sponsored and monitored. We have monthly safety meetings and weekly toolbox discussions. Powell & Sons drug policy is enforced and every person in our employee is tested prior to hiring and at intermittent intervals. Our crews constantly work hard to keep our Workers' Comp combined Net modifier down to under .595.

Operator Certification: We have dedicated a large part of our training and education effort towards certification and training our operators. In order to provide the highest service levels and best values to our customers, all of our operators have been recently tested through CCO National Commission.

Equipment: Our equipment list is available. Each piece of equipment is kept in premier condition and is fully OSHA certified. The rigging gear is top quality and inspected prior to every use. All of our spreader bars, manbaskets, and special gear are designed tested and inspected in accordance with ANSI B.30.5.
